Mobilisation works set to begin at Menai Suspension Bridge

This test is essential as it ensures the safety of both the users and the engineers of the bridge while the works are ongoing.

The exact date of the inspection is still to be confirmed as completion is weather-dependent.

The inspections will require a one-lane closure on the bridge between the hours of 9am to 3pm.

Traffic lights will be used to ease congestion and manage vehicle flow.

The permanent works are on schedule to begin on September 4.

These will see the installation of new permanent hangers on the bridge, as well as delivering major maintenance works such as lighting replacement and extensive paint work to its exterior.
