NORTH Wales Police have launched an investigation into a report a herd of cattle has been stolen from a farm in Anglesey.

A total of 14 cows are understood to have been loaded onto a large lorry from a shed on the outskirts of Llanerch-y-Medd sometime between 11pm and midnight on Saturday, 10 December.

PCSO Rhys Evans is appealing to anybody who has CCTV of a large lorry in the area carrying livestock around these times to contact officers immediately.

He said: “It appears from reviewing CCTV in the area that a lorry was in the area at around 11.34pm and left shortly before midnight.

“It seems to have been quite a large lorry and would have had difficulty travelling along this road, which is very narrow. This is evident as damage has been caused to the hedgerow, walls, and grass verges in different areas along the road.

“I am asking anyone with CCTV in the Llanerchymedd, Carmel, and Trevor to please check their cameras for a large livestock lorry around that time.

“Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to get in touch via the website, or on 101, using reference 22000912557.”
