BANGOR's penultimate WRU National League Division Two North fixture ended with a thumping 45-0 loss to Llanidloes.
This is the second time that Bangor has lost by 40 or more to Llan in consecutive weeks, and they will be hoping for better fortune as they end their league campaign this Saturday with a home tie against Llangollen.
They will be looking for a positive performance and get out of the game with some confidence as they look to claim some silverware from a promising season against Newtown in the North Wales Intermediate Cup at a venue yet to be decided.
The hosts were second best throughout the contest as they failed to deal with the power of the visiting pack which was the catalyst behind their downfall, while they also made a number of handling errors during crucial scoring opportunities which also hampered their ability to get back into the contest.
Bangor now lie in eighth spot in the standings but are guaranteed a place in the division next term after comfortably acquiring enough points to avoid the drop.
