WREXHAM have had some massive league games during their proud history and this is up there with them.
While the clash away to West Ham is not a title decider or a match where promotion can be clinched, it is a huge occasion for the Reds.
After securing a record-breaking three successive promotions, Phil Parkinson’s men soon adjusted to life in the Championship last season and came so close to the play-offs.
It was a struggle for the Hammers who eventually lost their Premier League status and now the teams play in a league fixture for the first time since the 1980-81 campaign, when they also met in the second tier.
To be in this position, Wrexham have come a long way in such a short space of time and with the London Stadium boasting a 62,500 capacity, this is set to be the biggest ever attendance for a Reds’ league game.
It will be a night to savour but the Reds won’t be just going there to make up the numbers.
And if Wrexham get something against the title favourites, it will surely go down as one of their best ever league results.
