LIVE domestic football will be back on our screens later this month, with Sgorio announcing their first three fixtures of the new JD Cymru Premier campaign.

The top-flight was granted elite athlete status by the Football Association of Wales to enable their season to start on September 12 and defending champions Connah’s Quay Nomads will be the first to host the broadcaster this term.

Andy Morrison’s men will kick-off their defence against Europa League heroes Bala Town on September 12, which has been allocated a 5.45pm kick-off.

Haverfordwest County comes into the JD Cymru Premier in favour of a team who failed to secure their FAW Tier 1 Domestic Licence on appeal, and their home contest against Newtown on September 19 (5.45pm) has also been picked for Sgorio coverage.

Newly promoted Flint Town United, who were granted promotion despite finishing 16 points behind JD Cymru North champions Prestatyn Town, have made a series of impressive signings and will be taking on a possible title contender in Barry Town United on September 26 (5.45pm) at the Essity Stadium.

With Dylan Ebenezer at the helm and Nicky John at pitchside, the Sgorio team will once again feature former internationals Malcolm Allen and Owain Tudur Jones, while former JD Cymru Premier managers Mark Jones and Tomi Morgan will provide English-language commentary via the red button.

Matches will be played without fans in attendance initially, but this is a situation that could change if there is not an increase in coronavirus cases in the coming weeks.
