COLWYN Bay will be prioritising registered supporters and season ticket holders if there us a restriction on matchday attendances next season.

The JD Cymru North side are busy putting plans in place to further grow the club on and off the pitch, which includes the senior set-up aiming to secure promotion to the top-flight at the second time of asking.

The Football Association of Wales has not yet given the green light for clubs to resume friendly matches, which is the next logical step after the governing body announced phase two of their return to football plan will begin from Monday, August 10.

Craig Hogg’s side have already been back at training in a limited capacity, and the Seagulls’ confirmed to their growing fan base that registered members of the club and those who currently have season tickets will get the first refusal if the FAW announces any crowd limit upon their return to action.

An email sent out to members of the supporters club, read: “Although the COVID-19 restrictions are being relaxed slowly in Wales there is no news yet from the FAW about when pre-season might start and what restrictions there might or might not be regarding admitting supporters.

“The club have indicated that if there are restrictions on attendance, registered supporters and Season Ticket holders will be considered as a priority.”

Colwyn Bay’s Academy will also be holding trials over the next few weeks for any hopefuls in the region looking to become part of the set-up.

This will be held from U8 level up to U19, and will take place on various dates at the Rydal Penrhos school playing fields and the 4G surface at Parc Eirias.
