LLANDUDNO are set to get a substantial boost to their squad with the arrival of two former players.

The Pioneer understands that manager Sean Eardley has moved quickly to strengthen his squad, and has gone back to his old club Caernarfon Town for two reported recruits in Gareth Evans and Mike Pearson.

Evans recently posted an emotional farewell to Canaries’ fans after announcing he was leaving the set-up following a hugely successful spell. The midfielder is set to link-up with Eardley once again at Maesdu Park for the upcoming campaign.

The tireless player has enjoyed plenty of success at Tudno in the past, and he rose to prominence as a member of the Colwyn Bay squad during their time in the English system.

He also played a significant part in the Cofis’ securing a pair of top-six finishes during their initial period in the JD Cymru Premier, and his experience is going to be a massive asset for Eardley to call upon as he looks to get Tudno back among the contenders.

Pearson is another who has enjoyed a successful career in the domestic game. The cultured defender’s best spell came at Connah’s Quay Nomads before moving to Tudno.

A short spell at Caernarfon followed, but the former Wales C international failed to make a notable impression due to a series of niggling injuries.

He will not only reunite with Eardley, but it will also see Pearson line-up once again with brother Shaun, a supremely gifted goalkeeper who is set to sign a new deal at the club.

There is sure to plenty more squad developments in the coming weeks for Tudno, with Eardley looking to make the changes needed to get the club back to prominence.
