ENGLAND have named their squad for the upcoming C international against Wales at the home of Caernarfon Town.

Manager Paul Fairclough has selected a 16-strong squad for the high-profile clash, which will take place at The Oval Tuesday, March 24.

Fairclough has looked to National League leaders Barrow for a large portion of his squad, with the talented trio of Patrick Bough, Lewis Hardcastle and Josh Kay set to play a significant role for the English.

Boreham Wood also have three in the squad, after Kane Smith, Kabongo Tshimanga and Sorba Thomas all called-up, and another selection of note is Chesterfield standout Liam Mandeville.

The Wales C squad, which is expected to feature some hometown Caernarfon players, is set to be announced in the coming weeks and manager Mark Jones stated there is still “four of five” places up for grabs.

The Welsh side will go into the contest as underdogs once again but can take heart from their two fixtures against the English last year.

Jones, said: “We know it’ll be a massive test, because these boys we’re playing against are training every day and ours aren’t, but the desire our squad has shown in the last two games has been tremendous, and it just lifts you to another level and to want to try and get a victory for your country.”
