LLANGEFNI Town manager Chris Roberts was left seething with referee Michael Gray after his side were beaten 1-0 at home by Ruthin Town.
The newly promoted side saw their chances of JD Cymru North survival take a huge hit against a side who would have been looking over their shoulders had they not secured three points at Cae Bob Parry.
Cefni remain one point ahead of Buckley Town having played five more, and things do not get any easier this Friday when the strugglers entertain champions elect Prestatyn Town.
Roberts, said: “Never in football have I felt like something has been taken away from me until now.
“I have seen games won and lost and decisions go against my team but tend to get on with it and move onto the next game but that was shambolic.
“I work hard and think of ways to improve myself and the team every day of the week I just ask the question what do our officials do from today until next Saturday?
“Do they reflect? Do they think what went wrong and what could they have done better? Do they train? Or is just a matter of collecting their cash and go again?
“I was asked by our fans to pull my team off the pitch early in the second half due to the way we were being treated, that surely tells a story in itself. I have never seen that before. I totally get that sometimes things aren’t given but today this isn’t the case.
“I never publicly question officials, but I feel I have to. I work hard week in week out for it to be spoiled by individuals. If I get fined so be it because something has to be said after that I’m not going to stay tight lipped to suit anyone if I genuinely think I am right.”
The home side missed the game’s first chance when Steffan Jones headed over on 17 minutes, and the visitors were awarded a controversial penalty in first half stoppage time, which Josh Jones duly despatched to take away the points.
Cai Jones was sent off for Cefni on the hour mark for two booking in quick succession, and Gray also denied the home side a huge penalty claim on 88 minutes to condemn them to defeat.
