GLANTRAETH turned on the attacking flair to record a 6-1 home win over Llannerchymedd.

The Gwynedd League produced arguably their finest display of the season to come away with an important three points at the expense of the basement dwellers, with Paris Hargreaves’ strike on 28 minutes giving them a one-goal advantage at the interval.

After the break saw a rampant home side double their advantage on 56 minutes thanks to Hargreaves’ second of the afternoon, and this was followed by another courtesy of James Ryan with 70 on the clock.

Llan dusted themselves off a gave themselves a glimmer of hope on 75 minutes thanks to Sion Pritchard effort finding the net, but any hopes of a comeback were dashed late on with three goals in the final five minutes from Ryan, Iwan Kirkham and Joe Hayes.

Llangoed picked up a notable success on their travels thanks to a 4-2 triumph at Llanystumdwy.

Tom Zalot was the star of the show for the visitors, hitting all four to play a leading role in his side’s three points, cancelling out goals from Darren Parry and Mark Godfrey in the first half.

Waunfawr’s impressive run of recent form continued with an emphatic 5-2 home rout over Bethesda Athletic.

The home side emerged as comfortable winners’ thanks in no small part to the contribution of Jac Evans, who netted a hat trick after a clinical display.

Adam Jones and Rhodri Owen also found the net for the hosts, with the away side notching two late consolations through Dylan Price.
