TREARDDUR Bay Bulls eased into the Gwynedd Cup second round with a 3-0 home win over Bethesda Athletic.

The one-time Gwynedd League leaders made the most of a fast start to book their place in the hat, with Iolo Jones’ impressive strike giving them the advantage after just four minutes.

This was followed by another which came courtesy of Mark Hamblin on 31 minutes, and the Bulls’ wrapped up the tie after the break when Jones turned in his second of the afternoon with 61 on the clock.

Llangoed also managed to progress thanks to a 3-1 victory after extra time at Caergybi thanks to goals from Guy Hughes, Aaron Evans and Sam Gregson, with defending Gwynedd League champions Menai Bridge Tigers producing a clinical display in their 5-0 home rout over Llannerchymedd.

The home side grabbed a crucial opener in first half stoppage time through Gareth Baker, before adding to their tally following the interval when Callum Davidson finished well on 55 minutes.

They upped the tempo in the final quarter to extend their lead further, with Mitchel Jones, Barker and Jordan Pritchard all hitting the target within the last 14 minutes to complete the rout.

Gavin Davies and Gerwyn Williams fired a brace apiece for Talysarn Celts in their 6-3 home success against Llanystumdwy, with Shaun Roberts, Rhys Roberts and Adam Jones finding the net for Waunfawr to seal a 3-2 win at Bontnewydd.
