BANGOR 1876 made light work of their Gwynedd Cup first round clash against Ogwen Tigers with a resounding 13-1 home win.

The league leaders produced another dominant display on their way to another double-digit triumph, and they went two-up within the opening five minutes thanks to a quick-fire brace from experienced striker Les Davies.

Talented youngster Dylan Summers-Jones also had a huge impact on the tie with a pair of strikes on 12 and 20 to all-but seal progression within the opening quarter, although Kieron Bullock did reduce the arrears briefly with the Tigers’ only goal of the game with 22 on the clock.

This joy proved to be fleeting as Jamie Petrie made the most of two opportunities to secure a brace on 24 and 27 minutes, and this same pattern of play continued following the interval as Davies turned in another chance to complete his hat trick on 56 minutes.

This was swiftly followed by another which came courtesy of Sion Parry on the hour mark, and the prolific striker struck twice more on 64 and 69 to successfully achieve a nine-minute treble of his own.

Petrie managed to secure the same feat with a well-taken finish that sealed his hat trick on 66 minutes, and to make matters worse the unfortunate Bullock diverted a cross into his own net with six remaining.

There was still time for the rampant home side to put the exclamation point on proceedings, which arrived on 87 minutes when Dylan Williams took advantage of a defensive mix-up to prod into the net from close range and complete the rout.
