LLANFAIRPWLL produced the shock of the weekend in the Anglesey League, as they ended Mountain Rangers' unbeaten run with a 2-1 with Cae'r Gors.

Goals from Kieran Williams and Callum Jones secured a wonderful win for the young Llanfair side who inflicted Rangers' first defeat since joining the AL in the summer.

Meanwhile, Cemaes Bay extended their lead at the top of the table to five points with a crushing 11-0 win at Llandegfan.

Steven Whittaker struck five, Daniel Howes added two and Rhys Lloyd, Andy Williams, Dafydd Jones and Sol Williams hit one apiece as The Bay ran riot.

After Llandegfan picked up their first win in more than two years at Pentraeth Reserves last week, many had expected this to be a somewhat closer encounter. However, Cemaes stepped it up a gear.

They lead 4-0 at half time before a ruthless second half saw them put double figures past Llandeg, who were very poor on the day.

Elsewhere, Hotspur Reserves enjoyed a 3-2 win at Arriva Bangor. Danny Camilleri and Dion Williams on target for The Busmen, but goals from Chris Corrie, Mitch Jones and player-manager Tom Scott secured another three points for The Reserves, who are now second in the table.

Finally, Holyhead Town fell to a 3-2 loss at home to Valley. A Tom Hadley strike and an own goal were not enough for the home side as Dan Jones' team enjoyed victory thanks to goals from Mike Williams, Barry Roberts and former Town player Luke Miles.
