GLANTRAETH turned in one of their best performances of the season to secure a 4-1 victory at Bro Goronwy.

The ambitious Gwynedd League side were at their brilliant best to emerge with three points against an in-form home side who had also showed signs of life of late, and they went ahead on the quarter hour mark courtesy of a neat finish from Paris Hargrave.

After the break saw the visitors extend their cushion thanks to another from Hargrave, who fired in his second of the afternoon on 68 minutes.

This was swiftly followed by another on 77 minutes when James Ryan steered in a chance to all-bust secure the win, and the away side wrapped up their scoring through Brad Bland with five remaining.

The home side did manage a late consolation through Jac Thomas on 88 minutes, but it failed to have an impact on the overall outcome.

Bontnewydd’s recent resurgence continued thanks to a 2-1 home success over Ogwen Tigers.

Morgan Roberts fired the opener for the hosts on 15 minutes which was cancelled out by Kieron Bullock’s leveller on the half hour mark.

The deciding moment arrived in the second period when Aled Steele made the most of some space on 63 minutes to give Bont another impressive victory.

A blistering first half display enabled Talysarn Celts to attain a convincing 5-1 home rout over Llannerchymedd.

Peter Bridges and a Gavin Davies penalty gave the home side a commanding advantage within the opening 13 minutes, with Glyn Tomos and Rhodri Jones also on target during the opening 45 minutes.

Ashley Rowlands did manage to notch a consolation for the visitors on 43 minutes, but Tomos converted his second of the afternoon after the break to put the exclamation point on proceedings.
