BODEDERN Athletic moved to within four points of third-placed Denbigh Town with an emphatic 4-1 win at Llanrug United.

Ricky Williams’ side began the game on the front foot and went ahead after just seven minutes when prolific forward Dean Redmond converted a chance, and they increased their cushion midway through the half thanks to a Shaun Jenkins effort with 24 on the clock.
They came out flying after the break and notched a third a minute into the second period when Jenkins despatched another opportunity, and Redmond matched this feat with a brace of his own with ten remaining.
United did manage a late consolation from Jamie Underwood on 85 minutes, which was all they had to show from a disappointing afternoon.
Llanberis and Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs shared the spoils after an eight-goal thriller resulted in a 4-4 stalemate.
The home side held a comfortable advantage at the interval thanks to goals from Gethin Wakeham and Gareth Edwards (2), but the Quarrymen rallied in the second half and salvaged a point thanks to a Meilir Williams brace and solitary strikes from Owain Jones and David Copsey.
Mynydd Llandegai came within seconds of ending Glan Conwy’s winning run before eventually falling to a dramatic 2-1 stoppage time defeat on home soil.
Things looked good for the hosts when Alwyn Roberts netted 54 minutes to break the deadlock, but Glan hit back midway through the half thanks to a superb strike from Conor Davies with 68 on the clock.
With the game heading for a stalemate, Keating Hoe Pike popped up at the death to decide matters and secure three points for the visitors with the final attacking action of the contest.
