BANGOR City have announced the departure of two senior squad members this week.

The JD Cymru North side confirmed that Aldair Neto and Yalany Baio have been released as part of what are expected to be considerable changes at the Citizens’ during the January transfer window.

Neto arrived at the Eurogold Stadium earlier this year after impressing during a trial period, with the left-sided attacker joining following his release from Maritimo 'B'.

He is also a former Braga and Real Sporting Club under-19 player and made a series of impressive displays in a City shirt during the current campaign.

Combative midfielder Baio re-joined the Citizens’ after leaving the squad during the January transfer window to sign for recently relegated JD Cymru Premier side Llandudno, where he turned in a series of strong performances during the second half of the campaign.

Baio began his career as a member of the Sporting Lisbon Academy system and has also been part of the Liverpool and Sparta Rotterdam set-ups during a hugely encouraging career to date.

His crowning jewel in a City shirt was helping the club attain a Europa League playoff place under Kevin Nicholson and Gary Taylor-Fletcher, which they were unable to participate in after failing to obtain an FAW Domestic Licence.

The club’s transfer ban preventing them from signing players to professional contracts is set to expire on January 1, leaving manager Pedro Pasculli with plenty of options as he looks to improve the club’s fortunes in the weeks and months ahead.
