NANTLLE Vale’s impressive away form continued with a dramatic 4-3 victory at Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs.
Danny Bell’s side were made to work hard for their latest success against the Quarrymen, which leaves them in ninth having lost just twice on their travels so far this term.
A strong start from the home side saw them go ahead on six minutes through Sion Roberts, and they managed to increase their cushion thanks to a fine strike from Keiron Ellis with 28 on the clock.
This was swiftly followed by a rousing end to the first period by Vale, who went into the break ahead thanks to a brace from Aaron Hughes and a solitary attempt courtesy of Gareth Parry.
After the break saw the away side pull further clear through Cai Henshall’s effort, and despite Iwan Griffiths reducing the arrears with eight remaining it was not enough to salvage anything for the hosts.
Llanberis caused a stir at the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One summit and moved into eighth with a 3-0 home triumph over Llandudno Albion.
Tomos Saynor got the home side off to a flyer with a well-taken strike on 19 minutes, and a two-goal salvo either side of half-time from Ryan Owen sealed a memorable success.
There was no such luck for Penrhyndeudraeth, who fell t a narrow 1-0 loss at St Asaph City, and Llanrug United endured a frustrating afternoon as they were held to a goalless home draw by Llandyrnog United.
