BANGOR 1876 booked their place in the NWCFA Junior Cup third round with a 4-1 extra-time home victory over Llanfairfechan Town.

The Gwynedd League side were pushed to the limit by the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division outfit, with a clinical display in the additional 30 minutes proving to be the difference on the day.

Mel Jones’ side went ahead on eight minutes when Dylan Williams finished well following good work by Jamie Petrie, but Town managed to pull level after the break thanks to a Sion Deverux header that sent the game into extra-time.

A crucial moment in the tie arrived on 103 minutes when Dylan Summers-Jones broke into the area and delivered a sensational effort into the corner, before Petrie got his name on the scoresheet following the restart with 106 on the clock.

The home side made the most of additional space late on, which brought further reward in front of goal when Summers-Jones despatched another chance for his brace with three minutes remaining.
