BANGOR City picked up another positive result on their travels with a 1-1 draw at Colwyn Bay.

The Citizens’ built on their victory against Rhyl with another resolute display against a JD Cymru North front-runner to secure a morale-boosting point to further enhance their chances of a top four finish, and Pedro Pasculli’s men have a golden chance to pick up some more points and extend their unbeaten run this Saturday when they welcome basement dwellers Llanfair United to the Eurogold Stadium.

Julian Williams almost broke the deadlock early on for the home side when he fired just over after some fine individual work, with Toby Jones’ attempt hacked off the line with 16 on the clock.

They did not have to wait much longer for the opener, which arrived on 21 minutes when Mitch Bryant produced a composed finish past Gabriel Brino following a quality delivery from Jones.

Gradually the visitors began to see more of the ball following the goal and they levelled matters on 40 minutes when Nicolas Delvecchio was presented with a chance, and he managed to find the corner to restore parity to the score-line.

The visitors spurned a golden chance on 44 minutes when Francesco Leghissa forced a point-blank save from Andy Coughlin when through on goal, and Williams thought he had regained Bay’s lead with 62 gone only for his attempt to be ruled out for offside.

Sion Edwards, Will Bell, Williams, Bryant and skipper Tom McCready all came within inches of securing victory during the remainder of the second period for the hosts, with Pavel Vieira and Francesco Serafino wasteful at the other end to ensure both sides had something to show for their efforts.
