GWALCHMAI striker Marc Evans was the star of the show as his side secured a 5-2 victory at Kinmel Bay.
The former Llandudno and Melville United forward was in ruthless mood throughout the newly promoted outfit’s latest triumph, which moves them top of Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two following a standout start to the campaign.
Despite the eventual outcome it was the home side who began the better and opened the scoring on nine minutes thanks to a superb strike from Kie Ellis, and this was followed by another that arrived courtesy of Matthew Marsh-Evans with 12 on the clock.
That was as good as it got for the hosts, with the visitors getting themselves back into the tie on 20 minutes when Evans was presented with a chance, and he duly despatched the opportunity for his first of the game.
Evans was on hand to level matters with another well-taken finish on 28 minutes, and the experienced forward was once again the beneficiary of some outstanding approach play on 40 to secure his hat-trick and give his side a slender cushion at the break.
After the interval saw the home side try valiantly to get themselves back on level terms, but they were unable to take any of the chances that came their way and were undone yet again on 50 minutes when Evans pounced to slot his fourth of the afternoon.
Bay threw everything at the opponents in the closing stages in pursuit of salvaging something from the encounter, but they were left exposed on 85 minutes as a quick break presented another chance to Evans, and he made no mistake with the finish to secure his fifth goal of the game to round off the scoring.
Goals from Owain Roberts, Asa Thomas and Lee Parry were enough to give Holkyhead Town a 3-2 home win over Penmaenmawr Phoenix, with Iwan Owen and Griff John on target for Y Felinheli in their 2-2 draw against Mochdre Sports.
