CAERNARFON Town have bolstered their squad with the loan signing of Ben Clark.

The talented youngster arrives at The Oval on a short-term loan deal from JD Cymru Premier champions The New Saints, with the deal agreed until the end of December.

Clark is highly regarded throughout the domestic scene as has already made a significant impression in the top-flight following a spell at Llandudno last season.

Manager Sean Eardley, said: “We’re very happy to take Ben on loan until the end of December with a view to possibly extending until the end of the season.

“We found out last season when he was on loan at Llandudno what a good young prospect he will turn out to be, he was hardworking and did a job wherever he was played.

“We’d like to thank Scott Ruscoe and The New Saints for allowing the move to happen and look forward to helping Ben develop further on and off the field.”

Clark made a total of seven appearances for Llandudno last term as they were relegated from the top-flight, and the 19-year-old will be aiming for further experience after failing to made inroads into the full-timers’ line-up so far this season.

The Cofis’ have another free weekend to prepare for their next outing at home to Cardiff Met on November 29, with Town currently sitting in fifth position after winning seven and drawing three of their opening 14 games.

They currently enjoy a six-point cushion over Met in the race for a top-six spot at the split, giving added significance to their upcoming clash.
