BANGOR 1876 will be aiming to take their biggest scalp to date when they entertain Ruthin Town in the JD Welsh Cup.

The newly formed club take on the established JD Cymru North outfit at their Treborth base at the second round north stage, which represents a significant test for Mel Jones’ side given Town’s standing within the Welsh pyramid.

Nantlle Vale also secured an eye-catching cup home game against in-form Colwyn Bay, who have adjusted well to life back on the domestic scene and have lost just twice in their last 12 contests.

Holyhead Hotspur have been rewarded for an impressive home success over Montgomery Town with a tie against Buckley Town at the New Stadium, with Bangor City also on home soil against the formidable second-tier leaders Prestatyn Town.

Either Llanrug United or Aberffraw will travel to Mold Alexandra, and the winner of Llanberis against Porthmadog will be at home to inconsistent Gresford Athletic.
