ARRIVA BANGOR, Mountain Rangers and Valley have progressed to the Second Round of the Huws Gray Megan Cup.

On Friday night, Arriva triumphed 4-1 over Bodorgan thanks to four goals from prolific forward Scott Hughes who now has 23 for the season.

Mountain Rangers cruised to a 5-0 victory over Cefni. Their goals were scored by Sam Williams (2), Simon Kay (2) and Declyn Williams.

Valley progressed with a narrow 1-0 win at Llanfairpwll with midfielder Tudur Williams bagging the only goal of the game.

In the Anglesey League itself, Cemaes Bay closed the gap at the top of the table with a 6-0 hammering of Pentraeth Reserves. Steven Whittaker (2), Dylan Jones (2), Josh Griffiths and Tam Morton were all on target for Darren Thomas' side.
