TREARDDUR Bay Bulls got back to winning ways with a resounding 6-2 home win over Llangoed.

The Gwynedd League leaders bounced back from their first defeat of the campaign at the earliest opportunity, taking the lead on four minutes when Justin Williams despatched a chance in fine style.

Williams was in ruthless mood early on and added a second with 14 on the clock, and his rounded off an exceptional opening to the contest with his hat trick after just 19 minutes.

A superb strike from Gwynfor Owen on 27 minutes all-but sealed victory for the home side, with Llan getting themselves on the scoresheet during first half stoppage time courtesy of Guy Hughes.

After the break saw the hosts extend their advantage through a Dave Webb finish on 66 minutes, and despite the visitors netting again through Wayne Thomas late on it did not have an impact on the overall result.

Defending champions Menai Bridge Tigers came from a goal down to secure a 3-1 success at Bontnewydd.

Cai Penny Williams gave the hosts a shock lead after ten minutes following a neat passage of play, but a Gruff Arfon own goal levelled matters before Mitchell Jones and Kelvin Fraser gave the Tigers’ a valuable win in the second period.

Iwan Kirkham and Huw Griffith were on target for Glantraeth in their 2-1 home triumph over Ogwen Tigers, and Caergybi secured a 2-1 victory over Llanystumdwy thanks to efforts from Iwan Williams and James Ryan.

A brace from Meurig Parry was the highlight of Waunfawr’s 3-2 win over Talysarn Celts, with a Dion Jones own goal and a Paul Whittle strike enough to give Bro Goronwy a 2-0 triumph at Llannerchymedd.
