MOUNTAIN RANGERS and Cemaes Bay both hit double figures in a goal-filled Saturday in the Anglesey League.

The Rangers hammered Holyhead Town Reserves 11-0 in the league itself thanks to goals from Sam Williams (4), Aaron Wynne (2), Simon Kay (2), David Carl Jones, David Aaron Jones and Ian Pleming.

Elsewhere in the league, Llanfairpwll came away from Cefni with a hard-fought 5-3 win. Having been 4-0 up in the first half through goals from Callum Jones, Tom Zalot and Elliott Jones (2), Llanfair were in complete control.

However, Cefni began to fight back bagging two goals in quick succession from Andrew Jones and Lee Lewis. Llanfair then hit a fifth through Cai Evans before Cefni hit once more through Macauley Lewis.

In the prestigious Dargie Cup, Cemaes Bay were the biggest winners coming away from Llandegfan with a 10-1 victory.

Andy Williams hit five, Daniel Jones hit a brace and Keenan Downey, Tam Morton and Chris Hughes completed the rout. Nathan Harris replied for the home side.

Also through to the next round of the cup are Arriva Bangor who beat Bodorgan 2-1 thanks to goals from Scott Hughes and Dion Williams. Luke Allaway found himself on the scoresheet for the visitors - scoring his sixth goal in as many appearances this season.
