MOUNTAIN RANGERS kept their unbeaten run going in the Anglesey League with a hard-fought 3-1 win over Bodorgan.

Goals from Sam Williams, Declyn Williams and Ian Pleming cancelled out Luke Winter's strike for the visitors as The Rangers stayed top following an impressive start to their debut campaign in the league.

It was not as straightforward as they would have hoped however as they found themselves down to ten men in the second half after Osian Jones was dismissed for a mistime tackle.

Cemaes Bay also continued their fine run of form and kept the pressure on the league leaders - coming away from Llanfairpwll with a 3-0 win thanks to an Andy Williams hat-trick.

Valley also kept their title hopes alive with a 3-2 win over Arriva Bangor, who have not won since the opening day of the season.

Paul Williams, Ryan Heywood and Jerome Sillence were on target for Dan Jones' side, who remain in joint-second place with Cemaes.

Finally, Pentraeth Reserves enjoyed a fine 4-1 win over Cefni who have won just one of their four opening matches this season.

Kenny Williams was at the double for the home side and Tony Farrar hit a shot hard and low across the goal in to the far bottom corner. Dyfed Alston completed the scoring by lobbing the goalkeeper with a great volley.

On Friday night, Hotspur Reserves humbled Llandegfan with an 8-1 win. Despite a strong start from the visitors and Cameron Eaton's goal being the only difference at half time, the second 45 proved to be a totally different story.

Paul Jones scored for the visitors but Eaton scored again and so did Curt Williams (3), Paul Jones, Craig Moore and Casey Gregg to earn the home side and emphatic win.
