SEVERAL football clubs from across Anglesey and Gwynedd have been in action this afternoon.

In the Gwynedd League, Nefyn United enjoyed a fine 5-2 away win at last season's champions Menai Tigers, who were reduced to eight men by the time the final whistle blew. Dylian Sion (2), Carl Jones, Danny Roberts and Guto Roberts were on target for The Penwaig.

In the Anglesey League, Mountain Rangers maintained their unbeaten run and stayed at the top of the league with a 3-1 win over Bodorgan.

Elsewhere, an Andy Williams hat-trick helped Cemaes Bay onto a 3-0 win at Llanfairpwll. Valley kept their title hopes alive with a 3-2 win over Arriva Bangor thanks to goals from Ryan Heywood, Paul Williams and Jerome Sillence.

Finally, Pentraeth Reserves enjoyed a 4-1 win over Cefni.

In Welsh Alliance One, Holyhead Hotspur picked up a 3-2 win at Greenfield thanks to goals from Chris Jones, Dewi Thomas and a Kenleigh Owen penalty.

Over in Welsh Alliance Two, Amlwch Town claimed a 2-1 win over Llandudno Junction.

In the Cymru North League, Porthmadog's poor run of form continued as they slumped to a 3-1 loss at Flint. Jay Gibbs with the goal for Sion Eifion Jones' side.
