CLWB Pel Droed Bangor 1876 FC have signed two more talented players and secured a major sponsorship deal.

The recently formed side have secured the services of Shaun Lock and Dylan Williams to spearhead their expected title challenge after receiving Gwynedd League tier status from the Football Association of Wales.

Lock is a hugely talented midfielder with an eye for goal, and the 27-year-old arrives after a sensational campaign with Menai Bridge Tigers last term.

He played a leading role in the Tigers’ Gwynedd League and Meditel Cwpan Gwynedd Cup double last season, chipping in with a host of vital goals at critical stages for the club, who were refused promotion to the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance due to ground issues.

Prior to his switch to the Tigers, Lock was part of the Glantraeth squad that clinched the third-tier championship in 2017.

Bangor-born Williams, aged 30, is another valuable asset in the midfield engine-room and arrives at Treborth following a spell at Glantraeth.

He was also part of their double-winning triumph in 2017 and skippered the Anglesey outfit to a Gwynedd Safeflue Shield final win last term.

In another exciting development for the ambitious set-up, Pentraeth Automotive under the MG brand will be the club’s main sponsor for the forthcoming season.

The company have sponsored Bangor City in the past and their commitment is another massive boost for a movement that has gained a significant amount of support throughout the community.
