CAERNARFON Town midfielder Gareth Evans could leave the club this summer.
The Chronicle understands that Evans is set for a departure or a reduced role at the JD Welsh Premier League side due to increased work commitments with North Wales Police, which would limit his availability throughout the upcoming campaign for Sean Eardley’s side.
Evans arrived at The Oval in 2017 after a spell at Llandudno, and he has played a significant part in their exceptional rise to prominence under Iwan Williams and current boss Sean Eardley.
He was instrumental in the Cofis’ finally clinching an elusive promotion to the top flight with the Huws Gray Alliance title, and featured heavily for Eardley’s side as they finished fourth in their first season back among the elite of Welsh football.
The popular figure also enjoyed a fantastic spell within the English structure under Frank Sinclair at Colwyn Bay before moving to Tudno in 2014 and helping them secure a second-tier championship.
Speculation is mounting about Evans’ next club, with the Seagulls’ reportedly interested in bringing him back to the Four Crosses Construction Arena ahead of their return to the Welsh pyramid at FAW Tier Two Northern Championship level.
