HENLLAN 3

RHEWL 0

IT seems that defences trump attacks when it comes to the leading lights in the Summer League table.

Henllan have the best defensive record in the league this season and they moved their way up to second in the standings on the back of their 3-0 home success versus Rhewl.

While Llanrhaeadr, Llangynhafal and Nantglyn all have more than 30 goals this season, none of them are in the top-two and these lofty positions are currently held by Cefn and Henllan.

Chris Brown's Henllan have shipped just 11 goals in their first nine matches, while Cefn have conceded 12.

Turning back to Thursday's action and it remained tight at the break, with just a single goal separating the teams.

Two further goals in the second period ultimately sealed Henllan's magnificent seventh success of the campaign.

Ally Stubbs, Sam Jones and an own goal sealed the deal for Henllan.

Nico Clwyd was the home side's man of the match.
