RGC’s senior squad members were rewarded for their efforts throughout the season at their annual Presentation Evening.
The celebration took place following their final Principality Premiership outing against Cardiff on Saturday, May 18, which saw a host of different awards dished out throughout the event.
One of the big winners on the night was talented scrum-half Efan Jones, who scooped the overall Player of the Year and the Players’ Player of the Year thanks to his sterling contribution throughout the campaign.
The former Wales U18 international has been at the very top of his game for the Gogs’ after being given increased responsibility last summer following the departure of Alex Schwartz to Cornish Pirates.
Departing co-captain Evan Yardley, who has agreed a deal with Cardiff, also took away two honours in the form of the Community Award and the Supporters’ Player of the Year, with Bailey Rae picking up the Try of the Year accolade.
Gifted back Danny Cross was another that performed well during the season after a frustrating run with injuries, and this saw him crowned the Young Player of the Year, and Bryn Jones’ exceptional progression throughout the campaign saw him pick up the Most Improved Player of the Year.
Rounding off the success stories was Andrew Williams, who won the Supporters’ Club Chairman Award.
