TALENTED all-rounder Owen Reilly was the start of the show as Bangor secured an impressive six-wicket home win over Gresford.

The North Wales Cricket League title hopefuls extended their good start to the season with another polished display, leaving them in a strong position ahead of their next fixture at Llandudno on Saturday, who come into the game on the back of a superb victory at Menai Bridge.

Reilly wasted no time in making his mark with the new ball, claiming the wickets of Sam Thompson and Matthew Cree for eight and a golden duck respectively.

The teenager also disposed of the dangerous opener Matthew Thompson for 42 at a critical stage of the innings, adding Gareth Bell (9) and John Bell to his list of victims late on to end his eight-over spell with eye-catching figures of 5-26.

Fellow opener David Winter was clean bowled by John Bell after contributing 27 to the scoreboard, but an unbeaten 40 from Nadeem Rehman got the home side over the line for the loss of just four wickets after 47 overs in the middle.
