AN incredible bowling display saw Caernarfon secure an eight-wicket home victory over Llanrwst Seconds.

The North Wales Cricket League Division Four side restricted the Rwsters’ to just 27 all out with a sensational performance in the field, with Llyr Erddyn Davies taking the wickets of Gaz Jones (5), Elliot Munch (1), Callum McMillan (0), Jack Parry (1) and Kristopher Lloyd (0) on his way to outstanding figures of 5-9 from a six-over spell.

He was aided at the other end by Ian Morgan, who claimed two victims at the expense of seven runs, and Barry Roberts, Monis Altaf and Simon Davies aided their side’s cause with a wicket apiece.

Things did not begin well for the Cofis in the middle as opener Jason Parry was removed by Mutch after failing to contribute a single run, with wicket-keeper batsman Grant Peisley trapped lbw by Iestyn Williams after making one.

That was as good as it got for the away side, who could not secure another scalp as the hosts saw out the remainder of the innings in comfortable fashion, with Morgan (12*) and Altaf (9*) getting them over the lines after ten overs at the crease.

Davis’ side will look to build on this exceptional display next Saturday when they travel to The Oval to take on Llandudno Seconds.
