LLANDUDNO will name Bangor City boss Gary Taylor-Fletcher as their new manager tomorrow (Tuesday).

The Pioneer understands that the Tudno board have offered the job to the former Premier League star, and he has formally accepted the position following a successful application process.

Members of the current squad have been informed of the developments, with the club to officially announce the decision at 9am on Tuesday.

Taylor-Fletcher is no stranger to the Giant Hospitality Stadium after signing as a player earlier this season before making a move to the Citizens’ hot seat, where he oversaw a difficult period at the club due to financial issues and a host of senior departures.

He introduced a number of Academy players into the first team during the second half of the season, but they were unable to catch eventual champions Airbus Broughton and had to contend with four spot.

Taylor-Fletcher has long indicated his desire to move into management after a glittering playing career which has seen him turn out for prestigious sides such as Blackpool and Leicester City and score at venues such as Old Trafford.

He worked with manager Kevin Nicholson at Bangor City as a player-assistant and helped them finish second in the JD Welsh Premier League before their demotion to the second tier.

The new boss will be tasked with getting Tudno back into the top flight at the first opportunity following their relegation this season after a four-year stay at the top of the Welsh football pyramid.
