HOLYHEAD HOTSPUR RESERVES are the latest team to lift some Anglesey League silverware this season, winning the Megan Cup with a 4-1 victory over Pentraeth Reserves on Friday night.
Hotspur missed a great opportunity to go in front when they saw a penalty saved early on. However, it was Pentraeth who eventually took the lead when top scorer Kenny Williams pounced onto a defensive error to score.
In the second half, Hotspur equalised via a great header from Casey Gregg. From there on out it was one way traffic and it was a centre back who went on to be the hero on the night.
Adam Morris scored two from close range before completing his hat-trick from the penalty spot to hand Mike Kelly's side a memorable cup final win to see the Megan Cup head back to Holyhead once again after Caergybi won it last season.
