BANGOR City FC have received an off-the-field boost after confirming three sponsorship agreements.

The Citizens’ announced that further education establishments Coleg Menai and the University of Bangor have renewed their respective deals with the club, with officials also securing a lucrative sponsorship deal with a global pizza giant.

Papa John’s Pizza have agreed to come on board during what is a hugely important period in the club’s overall history as they look to avoid further complications that hampered their Huws Gray Alliance title bid this term.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher’s side were in contention to chase down eventual champions Airbus Broughton until debts of £80,000 were revealed, causing a number of influential squad members to depart for pastures new.

This enabled the club to give members of their thriving Academy structure some valuable first team experience, with the likes of Gethin Thomas and Sam Jones impressing considerably during the latter stages of the campaign.

The club also revealed that discussions are ongoing with a number of potential local sponsors as “they see value in backing their club”, with further details set to be revealed in due course.
