NEFYN United clinched the Bob Owen Memorial Shield with a stunning 5-0 upset win over Menai Bridge Tigers.

The Gwynedd League side rose to the occasion to clinch some silverware in their most impressive performance of the campaign to date, and they went ahead on 25 minutes when Llion Jones continued his excellent recent form with another neat finish.

Things got even better for United before the break as they doubled their tally against the all-conquering Tigers when Dylan Sion Jones hit the target following a neat spell of passion with 36 on the clock.

They wasted no time in making a further impact on proceedings after the interval, and they all-but sealed their triumph on 50 minutes when Daniel Jones found the net to spark jubilant scenes from players and management team alike.

This visibly deflated the title favourites, who were punished for some hesitant defending once again on 75 minutes when Lucas Altovick pounced to despatch a fourth, and the same player was on hand to round off the scoring with 83 gone following some superb build-up play.

United saw out the remainder of the final with minimal fuss to secure a notable success at the home of Huws Gray Alliance side Porthmadog.
