LLANDUDNO Albion were in rampant mood to remain top of Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One as they secured an 8-1 rout over Mynydd Llandegai.

The in-form side made light work of their opposition during a phenomenal attacking display, leaving them four points ahead of Bodedern Athletic having played five more games than their title rivals.

Goals from Peter Jones and Danial Evans gave the home side a comfortable cushion within the opening 12 minutes of play, before Ricky Jones notched a third with 17 on the clock.

Talented forward Jones was in clinical mood and fired in two more on 27 and 30 minutes to complete a quick-fire hat-trick, and he was in similar mood after the break to seal his fourth of the evening on the hour mark.

Returning striker Lee Ellis was another to find the target after 70 minutes, and although Jamie Whitmore fired in a consolation it was Jones who had the final say with his fifth goal eight minutes from time.

Llanrwst United were also in fine goal-scoring form to secure a 5-0 home triumph over Llandyrnog United.

A brace from Callum Parry did the majority of the damage, with Chris Nicholson, Leighton Griffiths and Aaron Jones also hitting the target for the dominant Rwsters.

There was no such luck for Llandudno Junction, who were on the wrong end of an 8-0 drubbing at Penrhyndeudraeth.

Meilir Williams, Liam Watson and Tom Smith hit two apiece in the rout, with Jack Jones and Sion Jones rounding off another miserable afternoon at the office for the Railwaymen.
