ANOTHER prominent Bangor City has departed after Jake Phillips was recalled by Connah’s Quay Nomads.

The talented midfielder arrived at the VSM Stadium during the summer and featured regularly throughout the campaign, turning in a series of fine performances to further enhance his reputation as one of the brightest young prospects in the region.

Nomads’ manager Andy Morrison decided to cut his loan spell short, which makes Phillips the lates big name to depart Gary Taylor-Fletcher’s squad in recent days.

Top scorer Alex Darlington left for Maltese side Mosta just days before their landmark JD Welsh Cup clash with Caernarfon Town, with influential defender Sam Barnes departing for Chris Hughes’ Newtown.

Talisman and club legend Les Davies also left the club earlier in the transfer window to sign for top-flight basement dwellers Llandudno.

It promises to be an uncertain few weeks for the Citizens, who revealed debts of £80,000 earlier this week after the electric and water was turned off at their Nantporth base.
