THERE were goals galore in the Anglesey League and its domestic cup competitions on Saturday afternoon.

Valley cruised to a 12-3 victory over winless Llandegfan. Despite the visitors taking the lead early on through a stunning free-kick by Mark Hughes, Valley responded well, hitting eight goals of their own before half time thanks to Mike Williams (2), Andrew Bailey (3), Mark Owen (2) and Ant Parry. Josh Morris pulling one back for Llandeg just before half time.

In the second half, Llandegfan pulled it back to 8-3 thanks to a great goal from Dave Parry. Mike Williams completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot to make it nine for Valley before Ant Parry scored another and Dion Evans bagged a brace.

In the second round of the Lucas Oil Cup, Caergybi crushed Llanfairpwll 11-0. Anglesey League top scorer James Ryan took his tally for the season to 49 by scoring eight goals. Dewi Thomas and namesake Dewi Thomas bagged a goal each and Rikki Jones also scored.

Arriva Bangor enjoyed a 9-0 win over Bodorgan thanks to goals from Scott Hughes (5), Mark Thomas (3) and Danny Camilleri.

Bryngwran Bulls came away from Cefni with a 6-1 win. An evenly-matched first half ended 1-1 - Matty Roberts put The Bulls in front before Ben Wright equalised for the home team. A much better second half for Richard Owen's side saw them impress and goals from Craig Moore (2), Nik Kontodios, Gwynfor Owen and another from Roberts saw them into the next round.

Pentraeth Reserves and Hotspur Reserves played out a thriller - with the latter eventually coming out on top as 3-2 winners on penalties after the game had finished all square at 4-4 after Extra Time.
