GLAN Conwy boosted their Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two title chances with a 3-1 win at Holyhead Town.

The promotion hopefuls are now 12 points behind leaders Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs with two games in hand after another stylish display, and they opened the scoring after 35 minutes when Morgan Owen produced a fine finish.

After the interval saw the Harbourmen get back on level terms on 53 minutes thanks to a Gary Jo Owen penalty, but this joy proved to be short-lived as the visitors restored their slender cushion when Sam Tidswell netted his first goal for the club on the hour mark.

The points were wrapped up ten minutes from time when Jordan Phillips pounced for his first of the afternoon to seal another vital three points in their quest for silverware.

Mochdre Sports were denied victory by a late leveller in their 3-3 home draw with fellow strugglers Amlwch Town.

A brace from Ray Lee and a solitary Josh Griffiths effort gave them a 3-2 advantage at the break, and despite defending resolutely throughout the second period they finally wilted on 87 minutes when Rhys Roberts found the net to secure a share of the spoils.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix’s good run is finally over as they fell to a 3-1 loss at Llannefydd.

Daniel Williams gave the away side the lead following a neat passage of play on 16 minutes, but an own goal, together with strikes from Tomos Jones and Ed Jones condemned them to defeat.
