BRYNGWRAN BULLS opened up an eight point gap at the top of the league after beating Caergybi 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulls stampeded their way to another excellent victory and raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to a stunner from Arwyn Williams and a goal from centre back Anton Williams.

Caergybi pulled one back in the second half through a fine effort from Dave Webb, but the celebrations were short lived as league top scorer Craig Moore, hit his 37th goal of the season, via a bullet header to make it 3-1.

Cybi pulled another goal back through Rikki Jones but Bryngwran held out to remain top of the table at Christmas and keep their title hopes on track.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Arriva Bangor leapfrogged Caergybi into second place after claiming a crushing 7-0 win over a poor Valley side.

Four goals from Scott Hughes, who is now on 35 for the season, and strikes from Elliot Patterson, Danny Camilleri and Kieron Davies completed the rout.

Pentraeth Reserves ended their poor run of late by winning 6-2 at Bodorgan. Luke Allaway and Callum Andrews were on target for the home side, but goals from Lewis Owen (2), Matt Williams (2) and an own goal ensured that the three points went back to Pentraeth.

Holyhead Hotspur Reserves came away from Cemaes Bay with a 5-1 win. Despite the home side going 1-0 up through Ryan Rowlands' 20th goal of the season, Mike Kelly's side fought back well to claim the three points. Ben Hamilton bagged a brace and Martin McClymont, Owain Roberts and Deian Parry scored the others.

Finally, Llanfairpwll and Cefni drew 1-1 in a tightly-fought affair. Shaun Morris scored for the home team and Nathan Lewis reached double figures for the season with his strike for the visitors.
