KINMEL Bay turned in another superb display to secure a 3-1 home victory over Pentraeth.
The newly promoted side have made an excellent start to life in Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two under Andy Thomas, and they remain four points behind Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs having played three games more ahead of their trip to Aberffraw on Saturday (2pm).
The home side got off to a bright start and went ahead after 14 minutes when Matthew Harrison pounced for the opener, but despite dominating the remainder of the first period they unable to take any of the chances that came their way and had to be content with a one-goal advantage heading into the break.
After the interval saw Bay finally doubled their advantage on 66 minutes when the impressive Sean Morgan converted from the spot, but the away side managed to pull a goal back in the closing stages when Lewis Owen finished well after a rare period of possession.
This provoked a positive response from the title hopefuls, who all-but sealed the points immediately following the restart when Ryan Hassett hit the target to round off the scoring for the hosts, who have now won nine of their opening 15 games despite a massive squad and management overhaul during the summer.
