ST ASAPH City are now 13th in the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One standings after a 3-3 home draw with Barmouth and Dyffryn United.

The Saints were denied all three points after a much-improved display by a late leveller that ensure United went home with a share of the spoils, and the result leaves Daniel Brewerton’s side now have the weekend off before travelling to Llanrwst United on December 8.

It was an extremely positive start to proceedings from the home side, who went in front after 13 minutes when Oliver Parsonage burst clear and finished well.

This was met by a swift leveller from the visitors which arrived on the quarter hour mark when a Joe Ephraim corner evaded everyone and somehow flew into the net.

Things went from bad-to-worse for the hosts after 28 minutes when Andrew Papirnyk gave the away side the lead for the first time in the contest on 28 minutes.

After the break saw the Saints pile on the pressure in the early stages, and they were rewarded for their improved ply on 58 minutes when Paul Fleming continued his fine recent run of form with the equaliser.

With the momentum now fully with the home side, they took full advantage once again and regained the advantage on 67 minutes thanks to an excellent strike from Simon Fawcett, but victory eluded them late on when Papirnyk latched on to a through ball and slotted home to give his side a point for their efforts.
