CAERNARFON Town manager Sean Eardley has been dealt a blow with the news that two senior squad members are set for a significant spell on the sidelines.

The JD Welsh Premier League side have performed superbly following their promotion to the top flight, but they will now be without the services of pacey forward Danny Brookwell and the versatile Clive Williams, who are set to miss at least a month.

Eardley confirmed following their encouraging draw with Connah’s Quay Nomads that the duo “will be out until December”, with the pair playing a significant part in their initial success so far this season.

He said: “We will monitor players' this week and I can look over my shoulder and know that I have other players that I can rely on and play down at Carmarthen.

“We had some bad news regarding Danny and Clive, and it looks like December before we get them back involved, but there is plenty of strength in depth here and I have believe we have a good group of players that I can call upon and we are going to need all that heading into this weekend’s game.”

There was better news on the injury front in the form of Cai Jones and Kev Roberts, who are both ready to return to the fold, with Rhys Roberts also making an encouraging reappearance last weekend.

Brookwell’s injury could see more involvement at the business end of the field for Sion Bradley and Ben Maher, who are both “chomping at the bit” to be given a chance to show what they are made of in a more forward role, according to Eardley.
