MEGAN CUP holders Caergybi were dumped out of the competition in the first round after losing 6-4 to Bryngwran Bulls on Saturday.

Striker Craig Moore hit four goals and Anton Williams' bagged a brace as Richard Owen's side cancelled out goals from Dave Webb, James Ryan, Barry Roberts and Liam Williams to progress.

Valley also progressed to the next round by crushing Bodorgan 8-3. Paul Williams was the hat-trick hero and Jon Morton (2), Marc Wilson, Mike Williams and Andrew Bailey completed the rout. Scorers for Bodorgan were Luke Allaway, Luke Gardiner and Sam Hallas.

Joining them will be Arriva Bangor, who endured a nervy game at Llandegfan but eventually came away 4-2 winners. The home side found themselves 2-1 up at half time thanks to goals from Dave Parry and Robert Williams, but goals from Scott Hughes (2), Kieron Davies and Mathew Williams saw Arriva take the victory.

Meanwhile in the Anglesey League, Cefni claimed an impressive 4-2 win over Holyhead Hotspur Reserves. Paul Jones, Marc Parry and Luke Williams scored either side of an own goal as goals from Mike Kelly and Kris Dunne were not enough for the Reserves in this tie.

Finally, Cemaes Bay beat Llanfairpwll 3-0 thanks to a strike from Owain Griffiths and a Tam Morton double.
