BRO Ffestiniog continued their recent WRU National League Division One North resurgence with a convincing 33-13 home win over struggling Llangefni.

The hosts were on the front foot from the outset and notched their first try after ten minutes when Aron Roberts darted over in the corner, with Gareth Davies despatching the conversion, but Cefni hit back instantly with a penalty to cut the deficit after a rare spell of pressure.

This provoked a strong response from Bro, who saw Dan Jones cross the white wash after a sweeping team move midway through the half, and Davies continued his fine form with the boot by adding the extras.

They followed this up by a rampant attacking display which brought tries for Dewi Jones, Aron Humphreys and Aron Aspden all helping themselves to tries throughout the clash. Davies and Mathew Haydn added a conversion apiece to round off the scoring.

Bethesda also turned in a stylish display to secure a 37-21 bonus point victory on home soil, which is their third success in five top flight outings this term.

Division Two North title hopefuls Dolgellau turned on the style to come away from their trip to Bangor with a resounding 48-14 triumph, and they are now just four points behind early pacesetters Newtown.

It was a good weekend for Division Three North sides Holyhead and Menai Bridge, with the latter securing their first win of the season thanks to a narrow 25-22 home success over Flint and the former coming away with a 26-2 success at Mold Seconds.
