CONWY Borough skipper Gerwyn Jones has been rewarded for his exceptional start to the season with a special award.
The Tangerines star has played a huge contributing factor in their initial success during their return to the Huws Gray Alliance, turning in a series of outstanding displays for Gareth Thomas’ side as they aim to re-establish themselves in the second tier of the FAW Pyramid.
The commanding centre half has been a towering presence since he arrived at the club last season, leading his side to a memorable treble-winning campaign, and he has been awarded the Huws Gray Alliance Player of the Month for September as a result of his outstanding efforts.
Chris Wilton, Conwy Borough FC chairman, said: "Since Gerwyn joined from Rhyl last season he has performed at a consistently high standard and is a key player for the team.
“He is a model player and the award is thoroughly well deserved."
Jones has carried on this form into October and netted for Boro in their weekend draw with Porthmadog.
