CAERNARFON Town boss Sean Eardley has pulled off a transfer coup with the signing of talented playmaker Noah Edwards.

The 21-year-old boasts JD Welsh Premier League experienced having turned out for Prestatyn Town last season during the Seasiders’ relegation from the top flight, before a summer move to Connah’s Quay Nomads where he linked up with former boss Neil Gibson and teammate Michael Parker.

The midfielder was part of their Europa League squad but found chances limited during the early stages of the season, and he has decided to join up with the Cofis following their hugely impressive start to life in the WPL.

Eardley, said: “Noah gives us massive versatility, bags of energy and experience as well.

“I think that, despite it being a disappointing season for him last year at Prestatyn, I think Noah was one of the shining lights and it’s credit to him that he got in touch, because he just wants to play football and get back out there playing.

“It gives me a bit of a headache now, selection wise as a manager, and it’s one I want. I’m looking forward to working with him for the rest of the season.

“I’d like to thank Andy (Morrison) and everyone at Connahs Quay for making this move a swift one, just before the deadline.”

The Chronicle understands that Edwards was initially keen on a loan move to Llandudno, where brothers Kai, Zyaac and Zebb are currently stationed, but Nomads priced him out of a loan move to the Giant Hospitality Stadium and would only grant his release on the guarantee he would not later sign for Iwan Williams’ side.

This ongoing tension between the two clubs comes after Quay defenders Kai Edwards and Michael Pearson opted to join Tudno during the summer, something which incensed manager Andy Morrison.
