LLANGOED picked up their biggest win of their fledgling Gwynedd League campaign with a 5-1 rout at Bontnewydd.

The visitors came out of the blocks flying and went ahead on 13 minutes courtesy of a neat finish from Wayne Thomas, and this was swiftly followed by a Llion Roberts strike to double their advantage with 18 gone.

After the break saw Carwyn Williams pounce to add a third a minute after the restart, and the same player was on hand to seal the victory with a well-taken effort for his brace on 58.

There was plenty of time for further success which arrived through Nathaniel Evans on 71 minutes for the away side, and despite a consolation from Cai Penny Williams after 80 minutes it did not take the gloss off Llan’s most impressive performance of the season by a comfortable margin.

Talysarn Celts picked up a much-needed point on their travels as they fought back to draw 1-1 at Waunfawr.

The home side look to have claimed all three points in the closing stages when Guto Llewelyn finished well, but Celts responded extremely well to the setback and managed to secure a share of the spoils when Luke Baum converted after 80.
